ROLE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•     Fully understand the purpose and use of all solutions manufactured in the Chemistry Dept.
•     Lead cross functional teams in the development of validation strategies.
•     Create validation protocols and change reports.
•     Provide instructions to the Chemistry Lab for the preparation & testing of various chemical solutions.
•     Set up complex experiments and analyze experimental data.
•     Create validation reports.
•     Problem solve validation events and propose alternative methodologies.
•     Update documents based on validation findings.
•     Follows all applicable employment, health and safety legislation.
•     Performs other job-related duties as necessary.

DECISION MAKING/ACCOUNTABILITY
Works under general to limited supervision, following established techniques and standards, and contributes to decisions within established limits & guidelines to validate decisions within the Chemistry Dept.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•     B.Sc. in a scientific discipline
•     minimum 0-5 years related experience, preferably in validation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•     Knowledge of solution preparation and usage, understanding of Statistical Process Control, strong computer skills including database, spreadsheet programs, and applicable business software applications; familiarity with the applicable equipment used in solution preparation & test; experience in validation processes
•     Analytical skills, creativity and innovation, coordinating and planning skills, ability to work in a multitask environment, ability to make decisions, excellent oral and written communication skills, very good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with people on all organizational levels, propensity to continuous learning and experimenting.
•     Personal attributes: approachability, self-motivation, orientation to goal, positive outlook, enthusiasm, decisiveness and adaptability to changing business requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS
•     May be exposed to chemicals and biohazards under controlled conditions
