FRSQ is becoming a member of the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI)
April 26, 2010 – Quebec's health-research funding agency, the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ), is very pleased to be joining the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI) and thus participating actively in its efforts to standardize funding applications for all researchers throughout Canada.
In announcing this news, FRSQ's President and CEO, Dr. Yves Joanette, offered the following remarks: “Quebec is a leader in standardization of funding applications and computerization of their processing. Working with its Quebec and Canadian partners, FRSQ has made major contributions to the creation of the Canadian Common CV. This new partnership with CASRAI will let us continue the work that we have started, so that we can further increase our own organization’s efficiency while also even further reducing the administrative burden placed on researchers throughout Canada.”
In welcoming this commitment by FRSQ, Janet Halliwell, Chair of the Board and President of CASRAI, noted the depth of experience in the management of research administration information that FRSQ brings to CASRAI, and the forward momentum that this development brings to our standardization activities.
